Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has told local comedy group Propesa that he will not be intimidated after being reported to his boss William Ruto.
The group of Kalenjin comedians want Murkomen to honor a pledge he met with them last year. In a match between Gor Mahia and Everton, Murkomen agreed to sponsor five local clubs with playing kits if Gor were to beat Everton away.
In fact, Murkomen asked the group to look for 10 schools, that will get football balls from him and jerseys. Trouble started when Everton beat Gor Mahia 4-0.
Murkomen refused to meet his part of the deal, forcing the group to seek assistance from Jalang’o in the famous Lipa Deni segment on Milee fm. Still the Senator said he can’t pay, won’t pay.
On Wednesday, the group met DP William Ruto and decided to report how Murkomen has been treating them.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Ruto promises them that he will force the Senate Majority leader to pay his debts.
They even told the DP how Murkomen said he does not fear him (Ruto). Ruto said that Murkomen must pay his debts.
But Murkomen has told the team that he will not be intimidated.
Of course Kenyans have told the Senator to pay his debts. Murkomen has insisted that he was forced to place a bet by the famous comedians.
