Police in Kisumu have detained two men suspected to be behind a string of defilement cases in the area.
The men, Samuel Ambasa Kirumbe aged 30 and Kelvin Ochieng aged 28 are said to have defiled the teenagers at Manyatta area.
One of the minors’ parents is said to have been worried about the missing of their 12-year-old daughter
The distraught parents would later launch a search to establish the whereabouts of the girl.
A neighbour of the parents, Mr Kelvin Ochieng would later join the parents in the search that spilled over from Sunday night to Monday morning.
Police would later find the minor at Ochieng’s place just next to her parents’ house.
The other suspect Mr Ambasa is said to have defiled three minors aged 13, 14 and 17 before police finally reigned him.
Kondele Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Mr Boniface Mutie said the two suspects had been detained at the station awaiting Court proceedings Wednesday.
