Celebrate it Yourselves; Kenyans Fail to Show Up For Labour Day Celebration

Kenyans seem to be tired of empty promises year in year out!

Even as we mark Labour Day today, majority of Kenyans folded themselves in their blankets and didn’t mind their leaders being hit by the cold alone.

The growing frustrations that the citizens have undergone over the years have been shown today at Uhuru Park.

Essentially, Labour Day is celebrated to commemorate the struggles that workers undergo when building the nation- they need recognition and appreciation.

A good news they always want to hear is their issues addressed by their leaders.

Workers in Kenya still experience low-wage pay, poor health, and unfavorable working conditions.

Yet, our leaders have, for years, turned Labour Day celebration into a political rally, where leaders throw abuses against one another and even end up delivering hate speeches.

For that reason, Kenyans have failed to turn up in large numbers to grace the celebration.

Our Leaders should learn from this and deliver their promises. Plus, Kenyans are tired of too much politicking without proper service delivery.
