The English Premier League is characterised of fans who hate their rivals and the higher a club has supporters, the more t is hated.

Manchester United, Arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool are some of the highly followed clubs commanding a very high number of supporters and fans.

Many players in those clubs keep on following up their clubs even days after quitting them or retiring especially when they experience a prolonged stay in the clubs.

But there is more than meets the eye, this season is seeing a very tight competition for the title between Liverpool and Manchester City who are the defending champions.

Records have already been broken as there is no time the second runners-up in the Premier League has ever reached 90 which has already been reached.

Former Manchester United and Everton goalkeeper, Tim Howard is one of those perfect haters.

With just two games left to go of the season, there’s still a chance Liverpool can win the title and former a Manchester United goalkeeper is hoping it’s not going to happen.

Jurgen Klopp’s side sits one point behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City with just two games left to play and the majority of United fans are hoping the trophy won’t be heading to Merseyside.

Another person who is hoping Liverpool aren’t the ones lifting the trophy on May 12 is former United goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Howard, who also used to play for Everton and now plays in the United States for Colorado Rapids, joked to CNN: “I hope Liverpool never win a title while I’m still breathing.

“We have two teams in the form that they’re both in. It’ll come down to the wire. If no one has a slip-up, then City wins.”

The thought is a common one among United fans and former players.

When Paul Scholes was asked if it was difficult to choose between two of United’s fiercest rivals for the title he replied: “No it’s not, I want City to win.”

City plays Leicester at home before their final game against Brighton while Liverpool is away to Newcastle on Saturday before hosting Wolves at home on the final day of the season.
