Major business events in Kenya this week

While the first quarter of the year comes to an end, major corporations in the country are similarly winding up processes to sealing deals, launching new ones and reviewing others.

This, even as the government end of financial year 2018/2019 draws nears.

The month of April has had its highlights especially in the banking sector, seeing through the approval of a merger between NIC Bank and the Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA). At the same time, the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) also announced its move to acquire the National Bank Kenya (NBK) as well as part of the Imperial Bank.

The end of the month thereby brings with it other major occurrences, not only in the banking sector, but across a majority of formidable companies in the country.
