Tenants of Nairobi City County government now have a reason to smile. This is after Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Sunday issued a waiver of rent arrears owed to the Nairobi City County.
His waiver came on the Workers’ Prayer Day at St, Stephens Church along Jogoo Road, ahead of the Labor Day Celebrations.
This, Sono says was in recognition and honor of workers in Nairobi.
However, the County boss appealed to tenants occupying Nairobi County Government houses to pay their Monthly house rents on time without defaulting.
He also issued a directive stopping demolition of houses by the Nairobi Regeneration team for further consultations with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
