Enough is Enough! Jubilee MPs Demand Meeting With Uhuru To Seal Ruto’s Fate

The ongoing wars in Jubilee keep getting uglier as the days go by and by the look of things, Jubilee might as well be dead before the 2022 General elections.

There is great division of members in the Party with a section aligned to Deputy President William Ruto claiming that President Kenyatta has joined forces with Opposition Chief Raila Odinga to finish Ruto politically in the name of the handshake.

MPs allied to Ruto have even seen their security withdrawn and as such have in turn vowed to frustrate President Kenyatta by sabotaging government business in Parliament.

Other MPs on the other hand want a truce arrived at as they argue that the ongoing wrangles will not benefit either party.

Six MPs from Mt Kenya region allied to Ruto demanded that a Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting be called to discuss the Ruto campaign issue.

Speaking in two functions this week in Nyeri, four MPs led by Nyeri Woman Rep Rahab Mukami and Mukurweini MP Antony Kiai said it was high time Uhuru convened the PG so that they can know whether they are making a mistake by supporting Ruto.

The legislators, who were attending Presbyterian Women Sacco AGM in Nyeri Town, accused their counterparts in Team Kieleweke of hypocrisy.

And Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, while speaking in Isiolo, said Nyeri people and Mt Kenya residents support Ruto’s bid to succeed Uhuru.
