Gender wars in Kenya take a surprising new twist after the murder of a man in the hands of a woman!
A section of Netizens have taken to twitter to condemn the killing of Bungoma man in the hands of his landlady over Ksh.500. More so, they are arguing that when the female kills, they are not shamed unlike when it is a man holding the gun. Femicide they call it.
The incident happened at Mpeli Village in Chwele Market, Kabuchai Constituency in Bungoma Central at 7am.
It is suspected that 31-year-old Loice Kasembeli, nicknamed Mama Kelele by her neighbours, and her husband took part in alleged murder of their tenant, whose name police declined to reveal as a section of his family hadn’t been informed of his death.
Neighbours say the alleged victim engaged in menial jobs to survive. He leaves behind a wife and a 2-year-old child. The alleged murder took place after the said-victim was involved in a heated argument with the landlady.
Here’s the debate that sparked among netizens over the news:

Murdering is wrong. But in this case, y’all shaming women for speaking about femicide, because it’s a thing, believe it or not. Maybe when “mascicide” becomes a real thing we will pay as much attention. Keep ur fingers crossed. Lol Jk— Wacu🇰🇪 (@JoeyThisIs) April 18, 2019
You know why this discussion won’t go viral? Because no woman will defend her and say he deserved it. They will condemn her and murder unlike y’all who support murderers and attract so much drama.— Lynna Dommie (@LDommie) April 18, 2019

This morphs up after the latest brutal killings of women in the hands of men. The most famous recent one being Ivy Wangeci’s; a sixth year medical student that was ‘axed’ to death by stalker in Eldoret a day before her birthday.
Her death rocked the nation as she is laid to rest today in emotional service. She is but one among many.
