Both ODM candidates were trounced in the elections with Chris Karan losing the Ugenya seat to Movement for Democracy and Growth party candidate David Ochieng.
While Irshad Sumra of ODM conceded defeat to Wiper candidate Julius Mawathe in the Embakasi South by-election.
Many have taken to twitter to reveal why ODM lost giving lessons they should learn from the loss.
“If we can vote against bribery, political Kingpins and foul-mouthed campaigns in 2022 like Ugenya and Embakasi South people have done, Kenya will change,one said.
“My advice to Raila, Uhuru and Dp Ruto- read the signs! All self declared tribal kingpins will fall in 2022, the revolution has just began.2022 will be a shocker,” mentioned another user.

While another Kenyan revealed that Raila’s backyard is tired of ODM party machinery cherry picking candidates and shoving them down their throats then use baba’s name to popularize them.
“You can no-longer choose candidates for people.,”further ODM has been told.
