Four years ago,we lost 147 innocent souls in Garissa University and we are still shocked by the inhuman act.

We lost brothers and sisters who had a bright future. Every day we curse Mohamed Kuno, the mastermind, and all who contributed to the fulfilment of the satanic mission.

As we remember you, the government has ordered its agencies to beef up security. This is a good measure but it will never heal our wounds.

Security has since been beefed up at the institution, especially with the expected fourth anniversary of the terror attack at the institution.

The terrorists took advantage of security gaps within the institution.

This made parents lose the only son/daughter they thought would fish them from the sea of poverty.

You were role models in the villages and estates you came from. The churches and mosques you attended miss you.

The kids in your former primary schools still want to be like you; the poor girl/boy who went against all odds to attain tertiary education.

The colleagues who survived are still shocked. We freeze when we meet your former partners. They fear such will happen again

We can talk endlessly and write millions of words about you.

However, the best thing we will do is to make sure that such a thing never happens again.

Every day they wake up, the site of your graves crush them. However, they have never forgotten the effort that earned you a slot at Garissa University.

You are still heroes and heroines. Your siblings still cry when they remember the good times you share

Rest in peace dear ones.
