Rangers manager,Steven Gerrard blasts Celtics Scott Brown for provoking Morelos red card

The Scotland Premier League derby between ancient enemies Celtic and Ranger was chaotic one as players were involved in scuffle and a player send off after an elbowing incident.

Rangers manager and former Liverpool star ace, Steven Gerrard has blasted Scott Brown, accusing him of provoking his players in the Old Firm derby.

Celtic captain Broony was involved in Alfredo Morelos’ first-half sending off after appearing to wind up the Colombian.

The former Scotland midfielder was later involved with separate incidents involving Ryan Kent and Andy Halliday.

Hitting out a Brown, Gers boss Gerrard said: “You’re playing against a player who loves to antagonise.

“Morelos and Kent were both provoked.

“Celtic fans have the right to celebrate but do it right in your race, Halliday has the right to protect his own people.

“The guy who antagonised it all from the beginning deserves to be punished as well.

“When you’re provoked, it’s only fair that both sides get punished in my view.”We’ve hurt ourselves badly this season with a lack of discipline.

“I’ve given my players the benefit of the doubt on too many times. Morelos has asked me for a chat, and that will be picked up on.”

Brown joked after the match that Light Blues ace Halliday had come up to congratulate him on his performance.

He also claimed that he didn’t recall the incident with Gers goal hero Ryan Kent.
