Simple Bathroom break proved to be costly for DCI officer

The officer said he found his fully loaded Ceska pistol missing shortly after he went to the toilet next door within the police quarters.

A Murang’a based police officer attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has found himself in trouble after his gun mysteriously disappeared.

Murang’a East DCI boss Juliana Muthini confirmed the matter, saying the affected officer had reported the matter immediately at Murang’a Police Station, on Wednesday, March, 27.

Muthini said investigations into the matter had been concluded, pending directions from their bosses. It was not clear, however, if the officer failed to lock his door when he went for the bathroom break.

Area senior police officers are reported to have convened over the matter on Thursday.
