Tuesday morning fatal accident claimed three lives when a matatu collided with a canter on the Nairobi–Mombasa highway.
Makindu traffic police base commander James Rasungu said the accident occurred between Simba and Kiboko shopping
Six others were critically injured after the vehicles rolled.
“The three, one occupant from the canter and two others from the matatu died on the spot when the two vehicles rolled,”
The canter was ferrying building materials to Nairobi while the matatu was headed to Mombasa.
Other injured passengers were taken to Makindu Hospital.
This happened a day after a car collided with a trailer in Gilgil killing eleven people on the spot.
