Earth tremor hit Kenya on Sunday affecting some parts of the busy highways.
Motorists using the road that passes through Fai Mario (sp) in Naivasha have been cautioned against using the road following tremors that rippled through Kenya on Sunday evening.
Traffic
police officers have been deployed to the site to divert traffic awaiting instruction from road experts.
Road users in the region have been advised to heed to instructions until clearance to use the bridge has been issued.
Naivasha – Mai Mahiu Road users have been urged to exercise caution following faults caused by Sunday’s tremor.
The Kenya National Highways Authority said that a fault has been cited along the at Fay Amario, about 8km from Naivasha, Mai Mahiu bound.
“KeNHA engineers are on site monitoring any resultant damages to the road surface. In the meantime, traffic police have been deployed to the site to direct traffic on a detour of the road section that has been created to facilitate traffic flow,” the authority said in a statement.
