ODM Member of Parliament has warned Kenyans of ever thinking of Ruto’s presidency in 2022.
Speaking at local radio station Nyatike MP Tom Odege said that the DP isn’t suitable for presidency and thus Kenyans shouldn’t think of it.
Citing the DP’s alleged opposition to the ongoing fight against graft, he warned that he is likely to stand by the side and let the corrupt take over if made President.
“Iwapo yeye hataki tupigane na ufisadi hapa Kenya hakuna haja awe rais. Kama anaunga wafisadi mkono akiwa naibu, nchi itakuwaje akiwa rais(If he doesn’t want us to fight graft in Kenya, it is pointless to have him as the president. If he is supporting the corrupt as the Deputy President, how will the country be when he becomes the president?),” posed the lawmaker.
He added that the DP may have a hard time making it to State House in 2022 because of his attacks on other leaders and reckless talk.
The MP wondered how the DP could cleanse himself against various corruption alleggation scandals.
He further accused him of disrespecting other government officials and the opposition in general.
“Asiwe anasema tupigane na ufisadi ilhali anapinga vita dhidi ya ufisadi. Hakuna mkenya atakayemwamini (Let him not say we fight corruption while he opposes the same. There is no Kenyan who will believe him),” stated Odege.
Ruto has been branded by the opposition as the most corrupt individual in Kenya.
Already a section of Jubilee politician under Team Kenya Umbrella led by Maina Kamanda and Ngunjiri Wambugu has requested the DP to forget about Mount Kenya support.
The MPs claims that Ruto can’t be trusted with Kenya’s wealth due to his huge appetite for property.
The further states that Mt Kenya region will have their own candidate with a new political outfit to represents people’s interest.
