Fourteen people are feared following grizzly road accident involving three lorries and a Nissan shuttle.
Those who witnessed confirmed that all the occupants of the Nissan perished while others were rushed to hospital sustaining injuries.
“Everybody in the Nissan which was full is dead save for one lady who has been rushed to hospital,” an eye witness was recorded saying.
According to area OCPD Emmanuel Opuru, the accident occurred on Friday morning after a lorry rammed into a 14-seater matatu.
Police say the lorry’s brakes failed moments before it rammed into the matatu resulting in many fatalities.
In the last two years, more than 30 people have died on the steep section of the road with mechanical failures blamed for the accidents.
In 2017, a driver lost control of a trailer and rammed into a bus killing 20 people before another bus hit a lorry last year near the same area killing 18 people.
The governor last year had promised to built a dual carriage highway along Naivasha -Nakuru highway.
