Kenya Comedian Eric Omondi yesterday made history after he managed to fill a stadium during his comedy tour at Kasarani Stadium.
The most anticipated event went down on the 16th March and Eric Omondi hosted the event and he believes he made history for being the first time an African Comedian to fill up a stadium. (60,000 seater Arena)
Eric Omondi last year received an award as the funniest man in Africa and this is indeed a historic gesture.
Some of the celebrities who were in attendance are Dj Shiti, Chipukeezy, Fred Omondi and MC Antonio among top Deejays who were holding it down on the decks.
This achievement is a fulfillment of the comedian’s wish even as he hyped the event.
Last year, he hosted a comedy event in the same stadium although he did not get a fill of the stadium.
This years event has however proved of his influence and love from his fans.
The Eric Omondi Stadium Tour is a project that began last year and the comedian managed to visit 11 stadiums.
The tour is also an attempt to introduce a new type of comedy. Aiming at not only telling the jokes (Stand up comedy) but also be able to show it as well (Action comedy).
It will also serve as an encouragement to the younger talented generation.
