The vocal Murang’a county Senator Irungu Kang’ata has come out condemning a number of county bosses for what he termed as misuse of public funds in the just concluded Devolution conference.
According to senator Kang’ata some governors who attended the conference were there just to have fun and not for any beneficial purpose.
While speaking in an interview in one of the Radio stations he said,”There are others who did not attend for beneficial purposes but to enjoy themselves using taxpayers’ money.”
In addition he said, “They were never interested in what was going on but were instead there to enjoy the luxury the county has to offer.”
Senator Kang’ata further suggested saying that in such functions leaders should use them to create closer relationships between counties for better future cooperation.
The occasion which was held in Kirinyaga County focused mainly on was officially opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta and closed by his Deputy William Ruto.
