The tension between former Prime Minister and Deputy President William Ruto continues to escalate everyday.
Raila has come up with all guns blazing accusing the DP of rampant corruption. Last week, he said the Pope had demanded that Archbishop Phillip Anyolo returns a car he was given by Ruto, as a present because it was a proceed of corruption.
And on Wednesday, Raila asked Ruto to explain how he knew about the sh 7 billion Dams scandal.
But now Makueni governor has asked the two leaders to engage in a second generation handshake.
“We’ve listed to both of you (Ruto and Odinga) in various fora but as I listened, many people wish that you have a second-generation handshake. That would be good for this country because we want real and total unity,” The elderly leader said during the closing remarks of the Devolution Conference.
On Wednesday, during the JKL Show, Cotu Secretary Francis Atwoli told the DP to work with Raila for his own good.
