A 65-year-old Billionaire diamond trader succumbed during a penis enlargement procedure, the Belgia media reports.

Ehud Arye Laniado, a Belgian-Israeli dual national, suffered a massive heart attack in an unnamed private clinic in Paris, just moments after an unknown substance was injected into his penis.

Laniados company, the Antwerp-based Omega Diamonds, confirmed his passing in an official statement:

It is with great sadness that we confirm the news that our founder, Ehud Arye Laniado, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was 65 years old. After living an exceptional life Ehud will be brought back home to Israel as his final resting place. He will be dearly missed by us all.

A friend of Laniado, who spoke to the GVA newspaper in Belgium, said that he always focused on his appearance and how others perceived him, and checked his own bank balance multiple times a day.

Renowned as an expert in valuing diamonds, Laniado began his career in Africa in his early twenties after a brief stint working as a hotel masseur in Tel Aviv.

In 2015, he was responsible for the sale of the Blue Moon of Josephine, the worlds most expensive diamond, for $48.4 million. He was also reportedly the owner of the most expensive penthouse in Monaco, worth approximately $40 million.

At the time of his passing, Laniado and his business partner Sylvain Goldberg were suspected of lying about the provenance of diamonds imported from Angola and Congo, and owed 4.6 billion in unpaid taxes. The two men were due to appear in court on March 14.
