Nairobi County makes huge investment in improving health care

Nairobi County Governor Sonko has made it known that boosting the healthcare sector is one of the key priorities under his administration.

The Governor stated that his government continues to invest heavily in improving health care.

Nairobi County has allocated funds to set up trauma and emergency units in the four county hospitals of Mama Lucy, Pumwani, Mutuini and Mbagathi.

Sonko says that this will help to decongest Kenyatta National Hospital, which will soon become a strictly referral hospital.

The Governor also reiterated that in line with the ‘Big 4’ agenda, Nairobi County Government is committed to achieving 100% Universal Healthcare Coverage (UHC) for all households.
