The interpreter, who was identified as Youla Nzale, looked jovial and determined to get every word right, which left the audience in awe. Dressed in pink, the woman imitates the President’s actions from one stage to another. Kenyans are used to seeing the sign language interpreter at the bottom right of their television but this time round Nzale decided to do it differently.
The sign interpreter did not disappoint Kenyans as she followed closely on Uhuru’s speech. From the video, it is evident that Nzale has mastered the art of using hands to interpret language. The movement of her fingers and eyes left Kenyans impressed with the speech. During the conference, President Kenyatta urged governors to support him in the fight against graft before he completes his second and final term in office.
