A simple tweet from Raila Junior has not been received well by the online community who descended on him with sheer rage on Friday, March 1. Apparently, the son of ODM leader Raila Odinga was celebrating the surprise sacking of the immediate former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa on Friday.
In a rather cheeky way, Raila Junior mocked Echesa for daring his father to sack him if indeed he was such a powerful figure in the local political landscape. “Hmm, some threats are better left unsaid,” tweeted Raila’s son. The ex-ODM national young congress chairman had in August 2018 claimed his former boss was out to clip his political wings and dim his bright stars.
Breathing fire and brimstone, Echesa gave Raila a thorough tongue lashing and he went ahead to ask him to send him parking saying he was not the ODM leader’s equal. Even though Raila Jnr revisited this remark which many perceived as disrespectful to the State House, many Kenyans felt it was unnecessary at the moment.
