The ‘Kwetu’ hit maker, Rayvanny has been receiving trolls that he has bleached his skin. He ha denied those claims saying that the allegations are just way of hating him.
He says that the source of reports are due to lighting differences in some photos which make him appear lighter and not as alleged; ”Jamani mimi hizo tabia nimezianza lini tena? Yaani walimwengu hawakosagi cha kusema, unajua kuna picha ambazo zikitupiwa mtandaoni naonekana mweupe sana na nyingine zinakuwa zimetoka vibaya, hapo watu ndiyo huanza kusema nimejichibua, kitu ambacho siyo kweli.”
Previously , Kenyan rapper, Khaligraph Jones had also been accused of having bleached his skin. His appearance on national TV got Kenyans talking with his light complexion that, at the time, he explained was because he was drinking better water.
Khaligraph later made a song ‘Toa Tint’ explaining that it was die to the lighting at the studio; ”Ati nimetupa mbao juu sura ni rangi ya thao. They calling me de Adi Bleacher Juu ya filter mi huweka kwa picha but as long as hii biz inajipa mi sijali na stori za sifa.”
