Calorine Mwatha is a victim of Love Triangle gone wrong

Details emerged last evening on how the Human Rights activist from Dandora Calorine Mwatha died while securing an abortion in the vicinity of Dandora area.

Police say Ms Mwatha was in constant communication with Alexander Gitau Gikonya in Isiolo, as they sought for a way to terminate her five-month pregnancy, in which Gitau was responsible.

More information from police further established that an unidentified doctor had demanded a fee of Ksh7,000 and after negotiations the cost was reduced to Ksh6,000 which was sent to the lady by Alexander Gitau who is said to be responsible for the pregnancy.

The botched abortion is said to have happened at New Njiru Community Centre within Dandora Phase I. It is alleged that the abortion was procured by the owner of the clinic Betty Akinyi alias Betty Ramoya and Dr Mike Onchiri.

Ms Mwatha died at the clinic and her body was transferred to Nairobi city mortuary by a man who claimed to be her husband and it was booked under private category on tag number 1496 under the names of Carol Mbeki.

Police say six people have been arrested in connection to the mysterious death of Calorine Mwatha, these include; Betty Akinyi who procured the abortion, Richard Ramoya,Georgia Ochieng, Micheal Onchiri, Stephen Maina a Uber driver and Alexander Gitau who is allegedly said to be the one responsible for the pregnancy.

It’s further alleged the human rights activist had an extra love affair that called for an immediate termination of her 5 months pregnancy.
