Bongo star Harmonize summoned by police over bhang smoking allegations

Bongo superstar Harmonize becomes the latest Wasafi records associate to be at loggerheads with the law after he was summoned to a Dar es Salaam police station over drug-related incidents. Harmonize,  was summoned for interrogations for the alleged possession of bhang which is illegal in the country.

The initial allegations were brought to life by Dar Es Salaam Provincial Commissioner Paul Makonda, known to many Tanzanians as Baba Keagan, who ordered the arrest of the WCB artist. Makonda claimed he had already informed Ghana police to investigate Harmonize who was captured on camera smoking what seemed like marijuana alongside Nigerian singer Burna Boy while in the country.

True to Makonda’s consistent threats, police caught up with Harmonize and summoned him to answer to drug-related questions. That proved to be the beginning of Harmonize’s woes as Tanzania outlet Bongo 5 reported the singer turned hostile moments after his arrest.  According to the reports, the Kwangwaru singer who is clearly not very familiar with being behind bars, attacked a journalist who attempted to get some nice shots of him whilst at the station.

Having arrived back in the county from a South African tour, Harmonize was almost immediately summoned by police to respond to the allegations. His social media activity did little to help his case as a photo of himself blowing smoke out of his mouth attracted the attention of Tanzania authorities.
