Ever since there was a come back in terror hits in the country,many have been practising vigilance in their environs.The reason why a huge scare had taken over a region after a car similar to that of Dusit D2 attack was spotted in Nyeri parked outside posta corporation.
“A motor vehicle…was spotted at Nyeri Posta at around 14:00 hours. It had three occupants of Somali origin who were believed to be armed and preparing to commit a felony,” read a note from the area of Director of criminal investigations.
The residents had took their uproar online claiming that another attack was impending after they spotted the grey car.
Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, while lauding the public, however, asked them to keep calm since the owner of the disputed attack had presented himself to the police.
“Car (owner) takes himself to Kayole Police Station. Confirms he was in Nyeri onwards to Narumoro. Being dealt (with) and so far there’s now no cause for alarm.
“I would like to congratulate and thank all those who raised concern and shared this clip to have it acted on. This is essentially what ‘security-begins-with-me’ means,” he posted on social media.
