Uhuru assures Kenyans on his commitment in kicking out corruption

President Kenyatta today joined stakeholders drawn from the full spectrum of Kenya’s national life for the Multi-Sectoral National Anti-Corruption Conference at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi

The Multi-Sectoral National Anti-Corruption Conference was convened with a view of providing a forum for reflection on the question of Governance and the vice that is Corruption, as well as its impact on Kenya.

The head of state assured Kenyans that the conference would not be just another talking-shop on Corruption where high sounding promises of action are made but which never materialize into tangible gains in the fight against graft

As Head of State, President Uhuru promised to continue to play a leading role in the fight against corruption with all the tools availed by the law, without compromising or relenting and also to incorporate proposed interventions into the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

In his previous speeches, President Kenyatta assured that the war against corruption is on course, saying that the DPP and DCI are working towards bringing all culprits to book.

“It is my hope that the Judiciary will also deliver on it’s mandate.” he said

The head of state also noted that corruption is based on individual deeds it has no colour, religion or race and no one should use these to deny Kenyans justice in instances of corrupt cases.

Kenyatta added that the government will not dictate to the judiciary since they have the responsibility to  adjudicate in a speedy and conclusive  manner.
