Prime suspects in the conning of maize farmers apprehended

Four Suspects have been arrested in Eldoret for allegedly being part of a syndicate that has been deceiving maize farmers in Uasin Gishu County. The Four  claimed that they were buying maize on behalf of an international organization, and would pay the farmers at a later date.

The farmers in recent times have been having a lot of trouble with the National Cereals Produce Board (NCPB) over the payment of the money of the maize they have supplied.

The national government has tried to intervene to this matter after the national warning which President Uhuru Kenyatta issued to CS Mwangi Kiunjuri. This prompted the formation of a special commission that was tasked to carry out the investigation into the matter.
