A journey of 14 years inspires Naiboi to change the narrative of upcoming artists

Kenyan artist Naiboi has shared that his 14 year journey in the industry is what inspired him to be vocal in  the music industry campaign

The Singer has recently been on the trends among the advocates for the play Kenyan music campaign.

His plea is that the media industry may loosen up so that upcoming artists may not have to struggle the way they did.

Naiboi says that from his experience, he used to get limited airplay and even so it took him ages to be who he is today.

The artist also says that it was not because he   did not have content back them but he believes that more airplay would have come in handy.

Naiboi highlights how sad it feels to go to other countries and see how passionate they are about supporting their own yet in the country the support feels minimal.

The singer on what artists should do to boost the industry believes that artists are already playing their part ad the most they need now is the platform.

It took about 14 years for the artist to be known and personally I feel he is speaking from a point of reason.

For the upcoming artists ‘ Will it take them 14 years for their music to be recognized?

For Naiboi, this conversation goes beyond him and his concern is that he wants to change the narrative for others.

Speaking on his hit song that  served as a major highlight in his career, Naiboi said that his 2 in 1 song was a one that he loved and was passionate about.

The Singer says that he was not really expecting the reaction and and the hype since he was pushing another song at that time.

He however decided to push the song from a point of passion as for him, the idea caught up with him  as they were hyping the song.
