Football super agent, Mino Raiola reportedly has offered PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano to Napoli and their sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. Lozano, who has been a target of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Juventus, amongst other top European clubs, now appears to be destined for the Serie A side.
PSV, currently leading the Dutch league table, will ask for €35 million for Lozano; yet are not prepared to part way with the energetic Mexican winger until the summer at the very earliest. This will come as a big blow to the other interested clubs, with Napoli never considered amongst the true frontrunners until very recently.
Lozano caught the attention of the big clubs following a stellar 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign in Russia, where he helped Mexico inflict a shock 1-0 defeat on then-defending champions Germany in their opening group game. The 23-year-old started all four games Mexico played at the World Cup, finishing top of their group before being eliminated by Brazil in the second round with goals from Neymar and substitute Roberto Firmino.
Lozano joined PSV from Pachuca in 2017 after helping the Mexican club win the CONCACAF Champions League, scoring eight goals to win the competition’s Golden Boot award. Since joining PSV, the Mexico international has made 61 appearances in all competitions, scoring 34 goals. In this season’s Eredivise, he has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances for the club.
