Detectives arrest fourth suspect in Kamto’s killing

DCI  detectives  yesterday confirmed the arrest of a fourth suspect who is linked to the murder of former Kilifi Deputy Governor Kamto.

This comes weeks after leaders weighed in over his killing and Deputy President William Ruto assured that the culprits will be brought to book.

The detectives from the Homicide Unit who have been on the ground for the better part of the festive season, said that they managed to capture the main suspect believed to have pulled the trigger to kill Mr. Kenneth Makombo Kamto, the former Deputy Governor Kilifi County.

The suspect was arrested in Kwa Bulo area within Bamburi & a Glock Pistol with 14 rounds of ammunitions recovered in his house.

The police also recovered were two deceased’s Phones and another Phone robbed from the deceased’s wife during the fateful sad incident.

So far, the Forensic ballistic report has indicated that the spent cartridges found at the scene were shot using a Glock Pistol.

The former Kilifi Deputy Governor was shot by unknown gunmen at his Nyali residence in Mombasa.

Reports also confirmed that three other suspects were arrested earlier  after they  were linked to the murder.

Even with this arrest the detectives have said that forensic search is still going on.
