No turning back!!Bongo Flava star quits drugs

Tanzanian legendary Bongo Flava Artist Khalid Mohamed popularly known as TID has for the longest time been adversely linked to the use of hard drugs when his career was at its peak.

TID is best known to his Kenyan fans for a slew of hits including ‘Siamini’, ‘Zeze’ among others.

T.I.D is looking to make a comeback after drugs took a toll on of his life and career. T.I.D is now a reformed drug addict and he wants to take music and make it his new addiction just like before.

Talking to MillardAyo.Com the Nyota Yangu hitmaker said he is done with drugs and not looking back.

“i’ve been through ups and down and at the end of the day i go back to the focus” T.I.D wrote.

Adding that ,”i will not go back to drugs again because it has costed me so much. but you know what, people think i wads born a tar but aim a human being i deserve happiness. i need to socialize. i will never go back to those stuff because its back. the society doesn’t like it.”

Last year ,TID  and seven other Tanzanians were put under court and police supervision over their alleged involvement in narcotics.

A police officer in charge of the task force unit for combating drug abuse and district crime investigation officer in charge produced a sworn affidavit to inform the court that they had reliable information that the artists and other suspects not yet arrested were involved in drug abuse in the city and Dar es Salaam Region.

The court granted an application that sought an order requiring them to execute a bond and sureties for good behaviour for three years.

Others put under supervision include a DJ and a relative of famous Bongo Flava artist Nasib Abdul ‘Diamond’ Rome Jones, Hamidu Salum Chambuso (Doo Hamidu), Rajab Salum, Sedom Madigo, Johana Jonnes Mathysen, Rechol Josephat, Anna Patric Kimario (Tunda).
