Drama as Paul Pogba Clashes with New Man United Coach

Paul Pogba was confronted by Michael Carrick over his celebrations when news that Jose Mourinho had been sacked broke on Tuesday morning, it has been claimed.

The French midfielder reportedly declared that the Portuguese manager “f***** with the wrong baller” during training on Tuesday, and claimed to his United teammates that Jose failed in his attempts to turn the fans against him.

His celebratory demeanour was allegedly spotted by Carrick, who ran the Carrington training session after Jose was sacked.

According to The Sun, the 2008 Champions League winner then stepped in and reminded the squad that anyone who fails to meet Manchester United’s high standards will be moved on.

Pogba clashed to Jose this season, and the manager dropped him in three of his final four games.

Gary Neville has also accused Pogba of ‘dancing on the grave’ of Jose Mourinho.

Just minutes after news broke that the manager had been sacked, the star posted a smirking picture of himself on Twitter and Instagram with the message ‘caption this’.

The post was deleted shortly afterwards and it has been claimed that it was a scheduled tweet as part of a marketing campaign with Pogba’s sponsors Adidas.

But Neville has labelled that excuse as ‘absolute garbage’.

“There is probably a high level of dislike there, but Jose Mourinho lost his job this morning and Paul Pogba and his people put that post out – don’t fall for this coincidence scheduled tweet nonsense, it’s garbage, absolute garbage,” Neville said in a Sky Sports’ The Debate special.

“Paul Pogba, there is no doubt, has fallen out with the manager.

“He doesn’t believe in him, he doesn’t like him, he doesn’t think he’s a good coach probably, and vice-versa.

“Jose Mourinho doesn’t think Paul Pogba is as good a player as he thinks he is.

“There’s been a complete breakdown in the last six months between the pair of them, probably the last year.”
