Kenyans took to social media and expressed their anger after Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand tweet went viral. In the tweet that he has since deleted, Ferdinand had previously met with Jamaican singer Romain Virgo and posted in his twitter account

Romain Virgo who is a singer from Jamaica rose to prominence in the television choir contest All Together Sing in 2006, going on to win the Digicel Rising Stars competition in 2007.
