Manchester United receive timely boost as duo return to training ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Marouane Fellaini and Anthony Martial have given Manchester United a double boost ahead of the game with Crystal Palace this weekend.

The duo have been struggling over the international break with injuries, but have both returned to training ahead of the game, with pictures showing them both hurdling at the club’s Carrington training ground base.

Fellaini is continuing his recovery from a knock that kept him out of international duty with Belgium over the last couple of weeks, while Martial withdrew from the France squad last week with an injury.

But both are now back in training with the Red Devils ahead of the weekend’s game, and could come into contention to feature against Crystal palace.

The pair trained alongside players such as Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Fred, with some players not yet back from international duty.

And their involvement will be a welcome boost for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, who has a number of injury concerns ahead of the game.

Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku are among the players struggling to be fit for the game, while Marcus Rashford is considered a doubt after limping off with an injury during England’s 2-1 win against Croatia on Sunday.

But summer signing Diogo Dalot should be available for the game, and could come into the side, with Luke Shaw suspended for United.
