As recorded on Wikipedia, last year Lawrence Cherono finished second at the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:06:21 h, put the Amsterdam Marathon with his personal best of 2:05:09 h a course record and improved in Honolulu the course record at 2: 08:27 h.
At London Marathon in 2018 he finished seventh.
After the win these were his words “The weather was good, the wind slow and we had to run faster than last year. I thank God for giving me this talent and I hope to be here once again next year,” Cherono said.
