Kenyan Rap God Khaligraph Jones cemented his status as the best rap act not only in Kenya but in the whole of Africa by bagging the award for the Best African Rap Act category. Khaligraph saw off stiff competition from the likes of Sarkodie, Casper Nyovest, Olamide, Nasty C, MHD and other great African rappers who made the nomination list.
The “Ngori” hitmaker went ahead and posted a picture on his official instagram account with the caption “GLORY BE TO GOD” to celebrate his win.
Fans and celebrities from all over Africa also took to social media to congratulate the Afrimma Winner who joins other African greats like Sarkodie in bagging the prestigious trophy.

Gospel Star Papa Dennis also bagged the award for Best African Gospel Act seeing off competition from Willy Paul and Gloria Muliro both from Kenya, Frank Edwards, Winnie Mashaba and others.
Kenya’s new kid on the block Arrow Buoy did not win the category for best newcomer but surely gave a killer performance that will be remembered for years to come. Uganda’s Ykee Benda scooped the award for this category.
Te Afrimma awards ceremony was held at Dallas Texas, USA at the House of Blues.
