Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has found himself on the receiving end of some life threatening tackles on twitter after a tweet of him honoring the late Vice President Wamalwa Kijana backfired.
It all started with a simple tweet. “Exactly 25 years ago Kijana Wamalwa left us. Am here remembering the great moments we shared at the same hotel he officially opened & patronized, at exactly the same spot where he used to sit. This portrait on the wall here at the place sums it all up. Mike, was a great man!”

But Eagle eyed Kenyans were quick to notice that the former gubernatorial aspirant had miscalculated the number of years since the death of Wamalwa. Wamalwa died on 23rd August 2003, meaning it is 15 years since he left us and not 25 as Khalwalwale had alleged.
So how can a whole doctor fail such a simple calculation? Could it be that alifanya exam before Matiang’i aingie kwa Ministry of Education?
Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans on Twitter.

You were with Michael Wamalwa of Ekolomani 25 years ago. You should be specific because you’ve confused so many people
