Xherdan Shaqiri is set to become Jurgen Klopp’s third summer signing.
The Reds boss has been busy in the summer transfer window, with midfield duo Naby Keita and Fabinho heading to Anfield.
Reports yesterday claimed Liverpool have opened talks with Stoke star Shaqiri, who is available for around £13m due to a release clause in his current contract following the Potters’ relegation last season.
And according to the Liverpool Echo, Stoke expect the winger to join the Reds in the coming weeks.
They say Shaqiri, who is currently on holiday after his World Cup efforts in Russia this summer, has been considering his options with Manchester United also keen.
However, the Stoke star, 26, favours a move to Anfield.
