Narok Senator, Ledama ole Kina, has come under fire over the remarks he made on Sunday, March 15, concerning the first coronavirus case in the country.
Taking to Twitter, the ODM Senator cast doubt on the confirmation of the first coronavirus case in the country questioning whether it is real or not.
In the tweet, Ledama jokingly stated that the case “would be the first one in the world to go after a black person!”
He insinuated that the case might have been a lie by the government in order to benefit from the funds set aside by the World Health Organization to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
“This Corona Virus Kenyan Case is it for real ama ni homa tu? The attack would be the first one in the world to go after a black person! AMA it’s all about $$$$,”Reads part of Ledama’s tweet.

“About corona we are only going to listen from professional medics not petty tribal bigots focus.” Mkuu was Jeshi weighed in.

The legislator said that the only way the infection could be prevented from spreading, was to effect his controversial land-use proposals, effectively doing away with slum settlements in Kenya.
Ledama also noted that sub-division of land in the country would lead to cropping up of more slums, and this would accelerate the spread of the deadly virus.
Corona Virus can be stopped from spreading in Kenya if we adhere to strict land use policy! No more subdividing lands and creating slums in every part of kenya.
