Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has expressed his disappointment at how the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is being conducted in the run-up to the 2022 general elections.

While addressing the media on Sunday, January 26, the vocal lawmaker revealed that the BBI report was being used to drum support for ODM party leader Raila Odinga before the elections, while adding that he is not part of the team.

“If supporting Raila is the ticket to heaven let me go to hell,” Kuria said after attending the installation ceremony of presiding Bishop Abraham Mulwa at AIC Milimani.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy also attended the installation service.

Kuria also said that he is supporting the BBI report but he will not be dragged to supporting ODM party leader Raila.

“Yes to BBI, no to Raila,” he added.

“It was a Constitutional requirement yesterday to call Raila baba.”

The firebrand politician, who was among a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto who attended the BBI meeting in Mombasa, was roughed up by several leaders as Odinga was arriving at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park.

Kuria alleged that he remained seated as everyone else stood up in respect when Odinga walked into the venue, hence the scuffle.
