Radio Jambo Breakfast Show host Ghost Mulee has finally revealed why he left the national football team for radio.

Having established himself as one of Kenya’s top presenters as well as becoming a household name among Radio Jambo fans. Ghost, who hosts the show alongside Gidigidi, said he had to leave because of financial disagreement.

“I had to leave the national team due to disagreement over pay and also wanted to advance my future”, he said in an interview.

“I once stayed for 8 months without pay and if it wasn’t for my wife I don’t know what I would have done. Kenya Football Federation still owe me a huge amount of money.”

He added that his blood is still in football even after leaving the national team. Mulee currently works as a popular sports radio show host and a television commentator for local league and regional football matches.

Mulee remains very actively involved with the running of his academy as he continues to coach young players who come with the dream of one-day playing professional football.

The bubbly presenter stated that joining radio was his destiny and after an interview with Carol Radull, which she saw he was dim fit to join radio.

A hobby that not many knew about the veteran coach is that he is a lover and collector of music, with a major focus on indigenous African tunes.
