President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Monday, declared that he would not answer calls from various leaders calling him after being arrested by investigative agencies.
Speaking after flagging off the first-ever oil shipment at the Kipevu Oil Terminal, Mombasa, Uhuru claimed that he was not ready to compromise himself to salvage leaders who find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The head of state also insisted that since he doesn’t instruct any leader to go against the law, they should not seek help from him once apprehended.
Moreover, Uhuru noted that both DCI George Kinoti and DPP Noordin Haji are more determined to bring down corrupt individuals.
“Mimi sijatuma mtu…ni wewe umepatikana ukifanya mambo yako; hawa watu hawachezi na hawacheki…hizo simu mlikuwa mnapiga kitambo msaidiwe zimezimwa! (I have not sent anybody… It is you who have been found doing your own things; These people neither laugh nor play… those phone calls you used to make for help are no longer available),” Uhuru stated.
he noted this while responding to governors request to have a share of the revenue collected from the crude oil shipment.
