Most people are asking, ‘where did this deadly cancer come from?’
This is perhaps one of the questions DCI George Kinoti sought to answer when he disclosed that foreign countries are largely contributing to the spread of the epidemic.
Kinoti revealed that rogue individuals with no sense of humanity have resolved to engage in ‘trafficking’ of contraband goods, some of which are laced with cancer-causing pathogens.
“Another challenging crime is the issue of contraband from country to country; that is why we have so many cases of cancer,” Kinoti stated.

Kinoti’s revelation has elicited a lot of reactions from Kenyans. Most people want the govt to crack down on these groups of peopl.
Govt should control all agrochemicals used on farms etc and also the products we consume in factories, shops, supermarkets and also EIA to industries which emits harmful gases and other wastes

Corruption is a national disaster. Cancer is a by-product of negligence by @NemaKenya @KEBS_ke & @MOH_Kenya. Toxins in water due to industrial waste from factories, pollution of land/air/water, importation of carcinogenic products and poor healthcare system.

Welcome to Kenya where a commercial potato farmer will grow his own domestic potato, free from chemicals, but will spray harmful chemicals for others to consume. Not knowing tomato farmer somewhere did the same, and so consumption of chemicals is a cycle. Because we are selfish

The disease itself is on the verge of being declared a national disaster with leaders and citizens joining hands to ask President Uhuru Kenyatta to make that pronouncement as soon as possible.

In less than a month, cancer has taken away the lives of 3 prominent people; Bob Collymore, Kibra MP Ken Okoth then Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso. It is not clear how many wananchi have succumbed to the menace?
Government of Kenya should #DeclareCancerNationalDisaster and zero-rate #Cancer drugs and #oncology equipment. #ripbobcollymore , #RIPKenOkoth , #RIPJoyceLaboso and all #Cancer victims. 👊 pic.twitter.com/dj434CPKyr

Many patients after being diagnosed with various types of cancer are left with no hope of survival due to the high-cost of treatment.
