The Orange Democratic Movement has been harshly criticized following their announcement that they will give their official stand on ‘Punguza Mizigo’ Initiative tomorrow.
“We shall give our official position on the Punguza Midigo referendum push tomorrow (Thursday 25th July 2019) at 12pm at Orange House,” ODM Party stated.

The ODM Party under the leadership of AU Representative Raila Odinga has been against the ‘Punguza Mizigo’ Initiative. Siaya Senator James Orengo and Mbadi leading the troop.
Not forgotten, not forgiven: Orengo reminds Ekuru Aukot how he abandoned Nasa coalition during the 2017 election petition at the Supreme court. He urged Aukot to come out clean over the bill. pic.twitter.com/FjZihkUW25

‘Accept defeat and move.’ ODM has been told to simply give in and allow ‘Punguza Mizigo’ sponsored by Thirdway alliance to sail through.
Nonsense! Accept defeat and move on as you have always done

This comes just hours after Dr Ekuru Aukot claimed that those opposed to Punguza Mizigo Bill have not read it to get the true facts contained in the document.
“Most of the leaders who are opposed to this bill have actually not read it. James Orengo should have been dancing to the tune of this bill because it is actually elevating him,” Ekuru Aukot said.

Moreover, ODM has been castigated for misspelling ‘Mizigo’ instead writing ‘Midigo.’ Some Kenyans have argued that ODM is basically against the ‘Wadigo‘ community in Kenya as their statements reads ‘Punguza Midigo.’
Hatuwezi pungusa wadigo kwa party yetu my fren

@TheODMparty lakini hatujawauliza wingi wa “mdigo” ni nini ndo mtuambie “midigo” hata vile Aisha Jumwa ni Mgiriama wala si Mdigo. 😂😝

‘It Must go through.’ ODM Party has been told that the ‘Punguza Mizigo’ initiative must sail through no matter their stand.
It must go through

However ODM’s position is already known following the reactions from most of their members. The Party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna stated the stand long time ago. He openly underrated the capability of Thirdway Alliance to collect over 1 million signatures. He went to an extent of saying that he will resign if Ekuru Aukot manages to collect 1 million signatures.
It wasn't me.
I was misquoted.
I don't recall.
I said re-sign not resign.
I wld rather die.
I've never been on KBC
I don't know who Third Way areTake your pick!
This is a WIND ASSISTED and pyrhic "victory" but all the best to @EAukot @fokango and their #PunguzaMizigoBill2019 https://t.co/vAHqn6j4IK
