Manchester United defender Phil Jones escaped a red card despite tough challenge on Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard in the first-half of the FA Cup final.
Referee Michael Oliver only issued Jones with a yellow card for the tackle. The defender escaped double punishment as he was adjudged to have been making a genuine attempt for the ball.
The International Football Association Board (IFAB) changed the law and players who commit a foul to deny a goal scoring opportunity no longer get sent off automatically.
Hazard gives Chelsea the lead. Right decision not to send Jones off as attempting to get the ball under double jeopardy law.
