President Uhuru Kenyatta’s riot act to politicians undermining his leadership continues to elicit different reactions across the country.
On Sunday, during a church function in Kasarani, a visibly angry referred to busybody politicians as “thugs,” in his native Kikuyu Language.
“These thugs that we elected are busy politicking. They should not think I am their boy, they will not stop me from constructing roads. They didn’t look for votes on my behalf. I went looking for my votes. This rubbish should stop bothering me,” said Kenyatta.
Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka has come out to defend the President. The MP, who was at one time, Ruto’s most loyal soldier told a local tv station that he advised the DP to take it slow on his 2022 Presidential ambition but he ignored.
“I told him (DP Ruto) if the President tells you slow down you slow down but he never listens that why I left him.” claimed Onyonka.

West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio has also jumped on President Uhuru’s defence especially on addressing the Nation in his native Kikuyu language. Hon Poghisio has stated that sometimes it is warranted for him to vent his anger in Kikuyu to pass the message correctly.
“When you are angry sometimes it’s better to convey that in your language,” Stated Poghisio.
