Man United Syndrome at Barcelona, See Who is Going to Be Sacrificed

Should we call it ‘bad luck’ or loss of morale! Many are short for words for what is happening at Nou Camp.

For clarity, current Manchester United’s woes are things that fans are used to right now. They began longtime just after former manager Sir Alex Ferguson retired from football management.

United have gone through a hard moment since then and have seen a drastic fall in the form. That’s not news now!

Could it be that Barca are headed towards the same direction?

The Blaugrana are currently undergoing the hardest moment in their lives. The season 2018-19 started well with them and have managed even to win the La Liga title with two matches at hand. What an achievement!

But now the problem has crept at the club. Mostly in their matches out of La Liga competition.

Firstly, many were shocked to see Liverpool successfully bundle Barcelona out of the Champions League.

The Blaugrana had the advantage of the 3-0 victory over the Reds in their first leg match at Nou Camp. In fact, no one could even bet in favour of Liverpool to proceed to the finals.

Surprisingly, Klopp’s boys went against all odds and overturned the Spanish giants with a stunning 4-0 victory at Anfield, successfully progressing to the finals.

Barca were left with nothing but pain in their hearts. All blame were on the coach Ernesto Valverde with fans faulting him for repeating the same mistake for the second consecutive season. This is after suffering humiliation the previous season when Roma pulled off a sensational second-leg comeback to beat Barcelona 3-0 and reach the Champions League semi-finals on away goals.

As if that wasn’t enough for Barcelona, Valencia added hot coal on Barca’s open wound after denying them the opportunity to bag double title this season.

Valencia thrashed Messi-led team 2-1 in their Copa Del Rey finals at the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Seville.

What remains unanswered is who is the cause of all these troubles at Barca?

While Messi had earlier on come out to dismiss claims that Valverde is the problem and reiterated that the Spanish manager has tried his best this season.

His sentiments were echoed by Barca defender Gerard Pique and the President Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The fact is that someone must pay for all the mess at Nou Camp and usually, the one to sacrifice here is the coach.

Barca fans have not taken that second painful loss well. Instead, they have asked the President to act and remove the entire board while others insist on sacking Valverde.

What next?

All eyes are set to see what president Josep Maria Bartomeu will do in bid to bring sanity back at Nou Camp.
