President Uhuru Kenyatta has lauded Makueni for its life-changing value addition initiatives geared towards uplifting the standards of living for its citizens.
The president was awestruck by the County’s empowerment programs aimed at wealth creation when he visited its exhibition booth at the 2019 Devolution Conference, staged at Kirinyaga University.
The head of state purchased carvings worth Ksh 30,000 from Makueni exhibitors.
Makueni is now a symbol of hope. It is leading in dairy farming and milk processing; its fruit planting and processing initiative is emancipating many from the yoke of hunger and poverty. Quite notable is the campaign on the provision of universal healthcare.
The county boss, who is serving his second and final term, has been applauded by Kenyans for being a reformist and industrial driven by getting the highest job approval rating with 55% and leading a county the way it is expected.
Kivutha is being hailed, for among others, implementing free Universal Health Care for his people especially the elderly, launching a fruit processing plant in a bid to promote farmers and agriculture in the dry county. He recently put to work Kikima Dairy Plant enabling fresh milk production which processes and sells Makueni Fresh milk brand.
For the record Gov. Kivutha Kibwana delivers for his people! The People who elected him to the position! He doesn’t force it down the people’s gut or publicist it like the Machakos counterpart! Good work speak for itself. Applauded
